Family Advocate - Early Head Start 40 hrs/wk (0)

A full-time position (40 hours/week) has become available in the Early Head Start Child Care Program for a Family Advocate. This position will provide case management services in the center-based partnerships for children and their families in the areas of early childhood development, disabilities, child health and safety, nutrition, and family partnerships. In this position you will partner with family and childcare teachers to monitor and update outcomes, as well as provide education and information to parents and childcare teachers for the successful implementation of goals. You will assure that families receive the appropriate services and referrals and will assist families in ensuring that their children’s needs are met. We prefer at least an Associate’s degree in Social Services but will consider the right applicant who has obtained a Child Development Associate credential (CDA) or Associate’s degree in Human Development, Family Studies, Child Development or a related field and a minimum of one year of related experience in early childhood education, family services, or other related fields. Knowledge of community resources is a plus.
